Looking for my Roots!

                            -Dr. Ratan Bhattacharjee

I came to you to look for my roots

The ones that I discovered in your eyes

Green grass grows beneath the shoots

You inspired me to soar to the skies.

In your African Mountain of Moon

Feathers were a fire in the flash of wings

The soft rainbow on the sand dune

I feel paradise when the lark sings

Love is power, love is knowledge, love is light

I discovered in your love a bird in flight

When the iguana comes down to the weeping

You with high fever and headache sleeping

O, my princess, you spread aroma around me

As a flower is slowly unfolded by a bee

Great sash of sheer rain,

Pearly drops make me wet again.

E-mortal E-motion of an E-poet

-Dr. Ratan Bhattacharjee

I am a poet of e-motion
The e-age tells me: 'emo you shun'
In this e-age of e-mail and e-portal
Gone is the old concept 'Immortal'
I now love to be 'e-mortal'.

Old emotions I did shun
To become a poet of e-motion
To set a milestone in the 'e-sky'
E-stars greet and there does the e-garden lie
I bring e-mage of flowers
In my imaginative e-bowers
I am a poet of e-motion
Fancy and reason equation

In this e-world , I have become an 'e'
When you make e-love and look at me
I ope-n my e-lips for an e-kiss
I am an e-lover and you my e-miss.

Where will all these e-matters lead us to
To be or not to be , to do or not to do
Can I take an e-sun in my e-mouth
Running to the e-poles in the South
And leap into the virtual world of cold e-air
To write an e-mail for you to love and share?
